We were just advised that Nixle is now charging for every text message sent for notifications. We have turned off text notifications for National Weather Service and we will be monitoring text message alerts as well. This is not ideal for our office and we will monitor this charge to see what else we can adjust. You can download the Everbridge application on your cell phone. Notifications through the application have no charge to Sheriff's Office. When downloading the application it does ask for your name and it will allow you to transfer your current text message option (enter cell phone number) over to the application.
